Roger R. Cross was born on October 19, 1966 in Christiana, Jamaica. He is a contemporary actor.
Roger was born on the sunny and beautiful island of Jamaica, were he enjoyed the first eleven years of his life. He then moved to Vancouver B.C., Canada, with his family: Mom & Dad: Deloris & Selvin; Sisters: Donna & Angela; and Brothers: Anthony & Gary. "My family, which includes my cousin Paul and friend/brother Brian, is extremely important to me, my grounding force you could say . I also have a wonderful group of very close friends with whom we take trips, play cards and generally take care of each other. I'm a lucky man."
Roger graduated from Burnaby Central high school with honours. He then attended Trinity Western University, where he graduated with a degree in Aviation and General Studies. "Coming from Jamaica to Canada was my first airplane ride and the captain allowed me to go into the cockpit to see how it all worked. I remember thinking, I want to do this. And thankfully I was able to accomplish that goal."
Roger also took drama in school, did church plays, and enjoyed acting, but never considered it a viable career. "Being a pilot is a career not an actor”. His turn into the acting world took place in 1990, when while waiting for a flying job, Roger did some extra work and stunt work in his spare time. He then decided to study acting at Breck Academy for fun. After landing a few roles and enjoying acting, he landed the role that changed his life.
Cross was cast in guest roles on such series as The X-Files, Sliders, Stargate SG-1, Highlander, Relic Hunter, The 4400, and Star Trek: Enterprise. He was also a regular on the sci-fi series First Wave and appeared in such films as The Chronicles of Riddick, X2, Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever, and Beautiful Joe.
His most recent role has been Agent Curtis Manning on 24.
